About The Position

The Manager of Partial Hospital and Intensive Outpatient Programs will provide visible leadership and is responsible for effective operations that drive access, safety, quality of care, and engagement for patients admitted to the Partial Hospital and Intensive Outpatient Programs. The Manager oversees the clinical and operational functions of the site of care in partnership with the medical staff leader, who jointly plans, directs, coordinates, and ensures overall operational performance, including achieving annual True North goals. Responsibilities include developing, maintaining, and ensuring that program policies, procedures, and operations meet and exceed regulatory and accreditation requirements. The Manager oversees daily operations for the Partial Hospital and Intensive Outpatient Programs, ensuring timely patient access and high-quality, evidenced-based treatment. The Manager partners with medical staff, insurance plans, and key referral sources, including John Muir Health Primary Care providers and the Acute Psychiatric Hospital, to streamline referrals, secure service authorizations, support quality measures, and enhance overall care coordination. The Manager ensures compliance with State, Federal, and CMS regulations and monitors operations for safety, efficiency, and consistency. The Manager collaborates with leaders across John Muir Health to meet performance goals through alignment, problem-solving, and standardization.

Requirements

  • Master's or graduate degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work
  • Experience in Partial Hospital and Intensive Outpatient Programs as MFT, MPCC, PH.D. or LCSW
  • 3 years of leadership experience in a management/supervisory level role required in behavioral health
  • At least 2 years in Partial Hospital and Intensive Outpatient Programs
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training – Required within 60 days of hire and every 24 months (or within 30 days of return from leave of absence)
