Capital Accounting plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of PG&E’s accounting and reporting, capital recovery and capital-related financial and regulatory forecast functions. The team works with many stakeholders across PG&E to maintain effective oversight and understanding of the Company’s capital expenditures processes. The Company plans to spend $12 billion on capital expenditures in the coming year. The work of this high-profile team will provide the successful candidate with challenge and variety as well as exposure to key individuals throughout the company. Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of PG&E’s accounting and disclosures over $125 billion of plant, property, and equipment. This includes working with cross-functional teams to provide effective oversight on capital work order management processes. The team is also responsible for the accounting for $5.5 billion of asset retirement obligations. The successful candidate will be a leader who has strong organizational and planning skills, is highly detailed oriented with robust knowledge of utility accounting. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and have enthusiasm to drive the team’s focus on process improvement and automation. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and the Oakland General Office based on business need.
