About The Position

The Manager - Accounts Receivable (AR) at Argano plays a crucial role in the accounting leadership family and is responsible for overseeing the accounting team and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role involves strategic financial planning, budgeting, and collaborating with other departments to support organizational goals. They provide front-line supervision to a medium size accounting team of individual contributors. They respond to escalated internal client account inquiries and issues and adapts team priorities to respond to client and business partner needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, expected.
  • 4+ years of experience in accounting or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of financial analysis and modeling and accounting principals.
  • Strong project management skills and Supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Strategic Financial Planning: Ability to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals. Provide insights for decision-making based on financial data.
  • Team Leadership: Supervisory skills to guide a team of accounting professionals. Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.
  • Leadership and Development: Mentor and develop accounting staff. Lead and inspire a high performing team.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Audit and Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial policies and compliance requirements.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Time Management: Effective time management to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
  • Teamwork: Collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to assess financial situations critically and propose strategic improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line supervision to a medium size accounting team of individual contributors.
  • Lead and manage the accounting team, providing guidance and support.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies and goals.
  • Administers policies and guidelines that directly affect teamwork activities.
  • Establishes deadlines for completing assignments.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.
  • Coordinate and participate in the budgeting process.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for financial reporting.
  • Promotes collaboration and accountability to meet team goals.
  • Ability to independently handle audit related requirements as received from auditors
  • Recruit, train, supervise and mentor AR staff, setting performance standards and managing day-to-day operations; sets performance targets and conducts evaluations.
  • Manage collection efforts, including making calls, negotiating resolutions, and addressing delinquent accounts.
  • Acts as a point of escalation for complex billing discrepancies and customer disputes to maintain positive client relationships
  • Implement strategies to increase efficiency, accuracy, and compliance within the AR function
