About The Position

The Manager, Analytics leads a team of Data Analysts in delivering the dashboards, reports, and research studies that drive strategic planning, monitor student outcomes, and measure institutional performance. This role manages the team’s day-to-day workload, maintains quality standards across deliverables, and partners with functional leaders to translate complex data into actionable insights that non-technical audiences can use.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data analytics, institutional research, or related field, with demonstrated success in shaping and interpreting data for organizational impact
  • Minimum 2 years of experience supervising or leading analyst teams
  • Working knowledge of statistical techniques (e.g., regression modeling, hypothesis testing, experimental design)
  • Advanced SQL skills; ability to query and integrate data across multiple sources
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouse platforms
  • Visualization experience with Sigma, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or equivalent reporting tools
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced certifications in data management (CDMP, CBIP, DAMA, DGSP) are a plus.
  • Python experience preferred for data analysis, scripting, and automation of reporting workflows

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and develop Data Analysts, providing coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities
  • Prioritize and manage incoming data and reporting requests, balancing institutional needs with team capacity and delivery timelines
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn, access, and appropriately utilize AI tools and technologies as needed to support job functions and enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Establish and maintain team standards for data quality, report accuracy, and deliverable consistency
  • Manage the request lifecycle from intake through delivery, ensuring stakeholders receive timely, accurate outputs
  • Lead cross-functional analytics projects that inform strategic planning, academic programs, enrollment, and student success initiatives
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of dashboards, data models, and reporting systems that support decision-making across all functions of the College
  • Drive adoption of self-service analytics solutions, empowering business users to access insights without depending on analyst support for routine questions
  • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical audiences including leadership, faculty, and external stakeholders
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of data used across reports and dashboards through validation, reconciliation, and governance practices
  • Collaborate with the data engineering team to ensure reporting layer data models are well-structured, documented, and aligned with source system definitions
  • Identify opportunities to improve team efficiency through process standardization, template development, and tooling improvements
