Alliance Management is responsible for maximizing the value and effectiveness of strategic collaborations by building strong partner relationships, aligning organizations around shared objectives and enabling successful execution of partnership agreements. Alliance Managers serve as a key connection point between internal cross-functional teams and external partners, helping translate complex agreements and strategic priorities into clear governance, decisions and actions. The role combines strategic thinking, relationship management, governance and problem-solving. Alliance Managers work across functions such as R&D, Commercial, Legal and Finance to facilitate effective governance, monitor progress against collaboration plans and contractual commitments, identify and resolve issues, and ensure that risks and opportunities are surfaced to the appropriate decision-makers. Successful Alliance Managers develop a deep understanding of both organization’s priorities and ways of working, build trusted relationships across multiple levels of the partnership, and navigate differing perspectives to create alignment. Ultimately, the role is about creating the conditions for collaborations to succeed by strengthening relationships, enabling effective decision-making and keeping partners focused on shared goals and meaningful outcomes for patients. This role is based in Foster City CA and does not provide relocation.
