Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economic/Real Estate Development, Supply chain Management, Aviation Business, or closely related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in commercial property management, asset management, lease administration, or a closely related field.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) and virtual meeting platforms (e.g., Teams).
  • Strong communication skills including writing, public speaking and presentation skills with ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Airport customers and employees as well as NAA leadership and employees.
  • Strong written, public speaking, and presentation skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with tenants, internal stakeholders, senior leadership, and external partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, think critically, and monitor programs, contracts, and agreements to make well-supported recommendations to management.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and must meet NAA driving record requirements.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain eligibility to hold a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge as may be required by assigned job duties and responsibilities.
  • Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check and other pre-employment requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience in airport, transportation, public sector or governmental environment preferred, but not required.
  • Familiarity with retail or concessions programs, small/disadvantaged business programs, and/or commercial development in complex multi-tenant environments is preferred.
  • Industry training and certifications in property management, real estate, or contract management (e.g., CPM, RPA, CCIM, real estate license, or similar) are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the management, leasing, and marketing of the Authority’s commercial properties and facilities—including office, industrial, retail, and other revenue-generating spaces—to maximize occupancy, rental income, and overall financial performance.
  • Coordinate the drafting, negotiation, and administration of Airport leases, ground leases, licenses, development and management contracts, permits, and service agreements for the use of Authority properties and facilities.
  • Oversee full life-cycle lease administration, including tracking lease terms, options, commencements and expirations, rent adjustments/escalations, insurance compliance, financial reporting requirements, and updates to tenant maps, exhibits, and records.
  • Ensure accurate setup and maintenance of revenue leases and related information in property, lease, and contract management systems for billing, reporting, and audit purposes.
  • Maintain up-to-date property management and contract files, including leases, permits, insurance certificates, financial/usage reports, drawings, and specifications, and prepare related correspondence and documentation as needed.
  • Build, foster, and maintain strong tenant relationships; act as the primary liaison on property and lease issues, investigate complaints or disputes, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Conduct regular on-site visits and inspections of leased spaces and common areas to monitor tenant performance, condition of premises, and compliance with lease and operating requirements, coordinating with internal departments and tenants on corrective actions as needed.
  • Support all phases of RFP, RFI, and RFQ processes related to properties, commercial services, and business development opportunities, including preparation of solicitation documents, evaluation of proposals, and development of recommendations.
  • Oversee or support risk management activities related to properties and contracts, including coordination with insurance agents and brokers and maintenance of current insurance certificates and endorsements for tenants and service providers.
  • Analyze opportunities and constraints to determine the highest and best use of office, storage, operational, and support spaces to improve utilization, customer experience, and revenue performance.
  • Collaborate with Facilities, Operations, Finance, Legal, and other departments to address property management, maintenance, construction coordination, access, and contract-related issues in a timely and customer-focused manner.
  • Monitor tenant performance and compliance with contractual requirements and make recommendations to the CCO on policies, programs, facility improvements, and future commercial strategies.
  • Support or coordinate initiatives related to small and disadvantaged business participation in commercial programs, in alignment with applicable federal, state, and local requirements and NAA policies.
  • Participate as essential personnel in designated emergency or irregular operations plans, including response to incidents that may affect tenants, customers, or commercial facilities.
  • Monitor and adhere to applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, performing other related duties as assigned by the CEO, CCO, or designee.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned and directed.
  • Administer and adhere to all Authority policies and guidelines.

Benefits

  • The starting pay range is $123,051.36 - $172,271.90 commensurate with experience.
