About The Position

This role oversees practice operations and helps build and staff Devoted Medical Group (DMG), a growing home-based and telehealth medical group serving Yavapai County. The manager works closely with the Devoted Arizona Medical Director, clinical leadership in Waltham, Massachusetts, and practice staff to establish a scalable operating model and deliver high-quality, effective care through clinical medicine, technology, and innovation. Patient visits combine home-based care and virtual telehealth. The role also uses and helps improve DMG’s internally developed technology and electronic health information platform.

The position involves building clinical infrastructure, managing staff and day-to-day operations, implementing back-office systems, procuring resources, and establishing workflows and procedures. The manager also supports patient outreach and visit scheduling, monitors clinical, financial, and operational performance, improves member satisfaction, and may assist with plans to expand into other markets.

The successful candidate is an entrepreneurial, collaborative self-starter who is comfortable in a fast-paced and evolving organization. They bring healthcare operations and management experience, understand healthcare payment models, use performance measures to guide continuous improvement, and are willing to handle both complex problems and practical day-to-day tasks. Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience building or operating a medical group.
• Ability to work in a startup or fast-paced environment.
• Experience managing schedules, logistics, purchasing, and other day-to-day business operations.
• Experience managing clinical and non-clinical colleagues.
• Experience managing a profit and loss statement and building financial models.
• Management experience related to healthcare operations, or an MBA or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with different healthcare payment models.
• Ability to measure and evaluate clinical, financial, and operational performance.
• The title identifies licensed clinicians as eligible: RN, NP, PA, or MD, or RPh/PharmD.

Nice To Haves

• Experience running a home-based practice or risk-bearing primary care practice.

Responsibilities

• Work with clinical leadership to build clinical infrastructure for Devoted Medical in Yavapai County.
• Ensure practice operations run smoothly and efficiently.
• Help hire, train, onboard, and manage Yavapai DMG staff.
• Implement DMG back-office infrastructure, including the electronic health record, fax line, and visit scheduling systems.
• Procure clinical and non-clinical resources and design and implement daily workflows, logistics, and operating procedures.
• Contact prospective patients to introduce them to DMG services.
• Schedule clinical visits efficiently to minimize clinicians’ driving time between visits.
• Track clinical, financial, and operational performance measures and continuously improve performance.
• Identify ways to improve member satisfaction.
• Communicate frequently with team members and leadership.
• As needed, assist clinical leadership in planning to scale DMG to other markets.
