About The Position
Ford's Central AI Team is the enterprise hub responsible for scaling AI and agentic solutions across the company. This role owns the pipeline for AI opportunities, from initial ideas through scoping, prioritization, and funding decisions. The ideal candidate is organized, adept at working with cross-functional teams to refine ideas, and capable of transforming nascent concepts into well-defined business cases with clear sponsorship, funding requests, and decision points. This position is crucial for providing leadership with an accurate and up-to-date view of the AI pipeline, associated costs, and the trade-offs involved in funding different initiatives.

- Ability to turn a messy, half-formed idea into a clean business case.
- Ability to define a sponsor, a funding ask, and a clear next decision point.
Responsibilities
- Running the intake and inventory process for AI opportunities through Sandbox, Functional Program, and Enterprise Bet stages.
- Serving as the operational backbone for early portfolio decisions.
- Ensuring leadership has an accurate and current view of the AI pipeline.
- Tracking the costs associated with AI opportunities.
- Analyzing trade-offs between funding different AI initiatives.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop business cases for AI opportunities.
- Transforming half-formed ideas into clean business cases with a sponsor, funding ask, and clear next decision point.
