About The Position

This role involves developing and executing the organization's AI and automation strategy, aligning it with overall business goals. The position oversees the entire lifecycle of AI projects, from initial concept to final deployment and ongoing maintenance. A key aspect is leading and mentoring a team of AI and automation specialists, data scientists, engineers, and analysts. Collaboration with various departments such as IT, product, operations, and compliance is crucial for project success. The role also requires staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and improvement, while establishing and enforcing best practices for AI model development, testing, validation, and deployment. Ensuring adherence to ethical guidelines, data privacy laws, and regulatory standards for all AI and automation solutions is paramount. Additionally, the position involves managing budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for AI and automation initiatives, communicating progress and risks to leadership, and fostering a culture of continuous learning within the team.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Engineering; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
Five years of experience in managing AI, Automation, machine learning, or data science projects.
Two years of supervisory or management experience.
Experience with cloud platforms and data technologies.
Deep understanding of AI methodologies, including supervised and unsupervised learning, NLP, computer vision, and predictive analytics.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and ethical principles in AI development.
Strong understanding of data security, privacy, and ethical considerations in AI.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g., Python, R, Agents, Studio, anthropic, ansible, UIpath) and AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of AI and automation specialists, data scientists, engineers, and analysts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, product, operations, and compliance to ensure successful project outcomes.
Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
Establish and enforce best practices for AI model development, testing, validation, and deployment.
Ensure that all AI and automation solutions adhere to ethical guidelines, data privacy laws, and regulatory standards.
Manage budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for AI and automation initiatives.
Communicate project progress, risks, and outcomes to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the AI automation team.
Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned or directed.
