About The Position

At Safety National, an industry leader since 1942, the Manager, Agile Delivery will lead, manage, and mentor a team of Agile Delivery professionals, including Scrum Masters, Release Train Engineers, and/or Project Managers within the Information Technology department. This role is crucial for establishing and maintaining high-quality service delivery and advancing the overall quality and efficiency of value delivery across the organization. The Manager will foster a collaborative environment, conduct performance reviews, set goals, create development plans, and attract new talent. They will champion Agile best practices, optimizing frameworks like SAFe and Kanban, driving organizational change, and supporting Agile transformation initiatives to elevate Agile maturity and strengthen cross-team collaboration. The position also involves acting as a key point of contact for senior leadership, providing metrics-based updates on performance and delivery outcomes, and developing and implementing KPIs. This role is for a strategic thinker with strong leadership, communication, and a passion for Agile methodologies, aiming to make a lasting impact in a growing IT organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or appropriate combination of education and experience is required.
  • 5 or more years of experience in Agile delivery.
  • At least 2 years in a team leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and developing Agile teams.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and IT operations.
  • Experience driving organizational change and Agile transformation initiatives.
  • Advanced Agile certification such as SAFe Program Consultant, Certified Scrum Master, Certified Release Train Engineer, SAFe Lean Portfolio Manager, or Agile Certified Practitioner.
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • This position allows for a hybrid work schedule which includes a minimum of 3 days per week in our St. Louis Corporate Office, located at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and mentor a team of Agile Delivery professionals, including Scrum Masters, Release Train Engineers, and/or Project Managers.

  • Serve as a champion of Agile best practices, establishing and optimizing frameworks such as SAFe and Kanban across multiple teams.
  • Drive organizational change and support Agile transformation initiatives.
  • Elevate Agile maturity and strengthen cross-team collaboration.
  • Act as a key point of contact for senior leadership, providing metrics-based updates on performance and delivery outcomes.
  • Develop and implement KPIs that measure team and portfolio success.
  • Protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information and technology assets against unauthorized disclosure, destruction and/or alteration, in accordance with Safety National policies, standards, and procedures.
