About The Position

Roland Foods is currently seeking a Manager of Accounts Receivable. This position is responsible for collections and cash posting. This role is based in our New York City office and reports directly to the Director of Accounts Receivable and Trade Finance. The manager will have four direct reports. As a response to the pandemic, Roland Foods office employees have transitioned to a hybrid working schedule, requiring employees to report in-person Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to telework on Monday and Friday each week. Due to the collaborative, cross-functional nature of the organization, employees at the NY and NJ offices are required to work in-person for the abovementioned days, outside of any People & Culture-approved disability accommodation request.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including Accounts Receivable
  • Proficiency with Microsoft D365
  • Knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.
  • Experience performing and reviewing balance sheet account reconciliations

Responsibilities

  • Collections and Cash Posting Management
  • Manage and support the team overseeing collections, cash posting, and deductions processing/disputes, by checking in regularly, reviewing team progress, and developing effective KPIs
  • Escalate delinquent accounts to customer service and sales team for cross-functional collaboration
  • Oversee new customer setup and assist in determining credit terms
  • General
  • Leads external audits, including preparation of schedules and gathering of support
  • Identify and resolve process/system inefficiencies and drive process improvements; implement best practices and leverage technology to streamline operations
  • Provide guidance on complex issues and foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment
  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis as needed by management
  • Hire, manage, motivate, and formally evaluate the performance of all direct reports
