About The Position

Segra is seeking a qualified and experienced Manager, Accounting for a full-time, hybrid position. This role requires a minimum of three days in the office per week, with two days of remote flexibility. The position is responsible for various accounting functions including month-end close, financial statement preparation and analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, and other regulatory, compliance, and external reporting. The Accounting Manager will also review and analyze complex transactions, new accounting standards, and non-standard contracts, documenting preliminary conclusions on proper accounting treatment under US GAAP. This role serves as a primary point of contact for teams outside of accounting to ensure understanding and adherence to accounting policies. The position leads a team of 3-4 Senior Accountants. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting rules (GAAP) and internal control systems, with experience in financial system implementation and process improvement/automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA or MBA required
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting required
  • At least 4 years of management experience leading a team of finance professionals
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Able to work on multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Accounting System Experience required (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred, Power BI a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting procedures, ASC606 and ASC842 required
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, preferably including advanced excel skills over large amounts of data (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and Charts)
  • Advanced excel skills working with large datasets (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and Charts)
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to work with cross-functional groups
