The Manager, Accounting position is within the Finance Department and reports to the Senior Director of Business Operations and Administration. This role is classified as Non-Exempt. The primary responsibilities include managing an accounting coordinator, overseeing daily job duties, developing their finance and accounting knowledge, and fostering a collaborative team culture aligned with the Nashville Predators ONE GOAL philosophy. The role involves reviewing accounts payable, invoices, expense reports, cash outflows, and purchase orders for accuracy and proper approvals. It also includes preparing sales and use tax returns, reviewing customer invoices, reconciling bank deposits and cash accounts, and managing intercompany transactions and reconciliations. The Manager will bring significant variances to upper management, recommend process improvements, and assist in preparing reports for the National Hockey League, budgets, financial analysis, and quarterly projections. Additionally, the role serves as a point of contact for external auditors and is expected to provide continuous, superior customer service with proactive solutions. Effective communication with supervisors, workload management, and performing other assigned duties are also key aspects of this position.
