The University of Chicago biomedical enterprise, collectively called UCM, is a leading academic medical institution at the forefront of discovery, education, and clinical care since 1927. The Biological Sciences Division (BSD) is the largest academic unit within the University, comprising faculty from ten basic science departments, 13 clinical departments, and several Centers and Institutes, with approximately 1,300 faculty and 3,000 staff members. This position is a member of the BSD’s Accounting and Financial Reporting team. The role supports the oversight and management of the BSD’s accounting, financial control processes, and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and reliability of financial information and mitigating compliance risks. Under the direction of the Senior Director, Accounting and Financial Reporting, the Manager performs critical components of the monthly closing process, including journal entry preparation, production of operating statements, and balance sheet.
