Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense. Pratt and Whitney Commercial Engines business has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, 30K Programs Accounting. The position will be a hybrid position based out of our East Hartford, Connecticut campus location. What You Will Do: In this opportunity, will be exposed to the inner workings of the Commercial Engine Business including interaction s with Aftermarket Accounting, Contract Accounting , Financial Planning & Analysis (including 30K Program Finance) , Lease Accounting, Poland Accounting Support, Service Contract and Warranty COE , as well as ongoing interactions with the JV partners and the subtier collaborators to IAE LLC and PW’s portion of IAE LLC, respectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field required with at least 8+ years of relevant work experience; OR an Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • S trong analytical skills, effective teamwork , communication and adaptability skills .
  • U.S. citizenship is required , as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in SAP and OneStream.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to communicate to a wide range of audience groups .

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing recurring and one-time journal entries as well as other monthly and quarterly closing activities.
  • Reviewing account reconciliations on a monthly and/or quarterly basis.
  • Monitoring compliance, including reviewing monthly reconciliations and aiding issue resolution for MRO payment process.
  • Reviewing exhibits and monthly partner reporting deliverables including quarterly cash settlement deliverables for IAE LLC JV Partners.
  • Reconciling and reporting of cash receipts on a monthly basis.
  • Facilitating the monthly engine sales report for Commercial Engines.
  • Reviewing the bad debt calculation and providing a quarterly recommendation to management.
  • Preparing various quarterly reporting deliverables based upon quarterly financial information.
  • Facilitating the annual AUP with PwC and reporting out the outcomes.
  • Contributing to the analysis and reviewing responses to address IAE LLC JV partner entity inquiries.
  • Supporting inquiries from PwC, RTX Internal Audit, PW Internal Controls, and SOX testing teams.
  • Responding to ongoing ad hoc requests from 30K Program Finance, Group FP&A, and partner companies.
  • Diving into continuous improvement initiatives, including self-directed targets and group-led projects.
