Management Trainee (Pittsburgh Airport)
About The Position
The 1ST GEAR! Management Trainee Program at SIXT is a 12-month journey designed to fast-track individuals into leadership roles within the company. Participants will gain hands-on experience, take on responsibility, and develop essential skills to lead in the mobility sector. Upon successful completion, trainees are guaranteed a leadership position, either managing a downtown branch or joining an airport leadership team. The program offers insights into key business areas like Sales, Customer Service, Fleet Management, and Performance Management, with structured training in communication, conflict resolution, sales, and problem-solving. Trainees will work in the operational day-to-day business from the start, collaborating with Branch Managers and Area Directors to learn leadership on the job.
Requirements
- Completed a bachelor's degree or gained relevant professional experience in Sales, Customer Service, Tourism, Hospitality and Management.
- Have a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset, driven to lead.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Work independently, solve problems, and take ownership.
- Hold a valid driver’s license.
- Have at least 1 year of driving experience.

- Other languages are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Support the achievement of operational goals.
- Contribute to greater efficiency and shared success within the team.

- Develop along clear learning and performance goals.
- Work in the operational day-to-day business from day one, learning all aspects of core operations from sales to fleet operations.
- Collaborate closely with Branch Managers and Area Directors to learn leadership on the job.
- Be required to work and travel within the United States as business needs dictate.
- Potentially travel up to 50% during the first year of the program.
- Potentially undertake temporary assignments across various locations within the United States.
