Spectrum Paint Company is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Management Trainee in the Wilmington, NC Area.   • Valid Driver's License.
  • Candidates must be able to pass a background check and MVR check.
  • This job requires standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, walking, reaching overhead, gripping, squatting, and carrying the product to and from the delivery and customer vehicles and areas within the store.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting the store manager with achieving sales goals by controlling expenses, determining inventory levels needed, and growing net contribution.
  • Establishing a strong knowledge of company products.
  • Assisting the store manager with recruiting, onboarding, and training of staff.
  • Opening and closing the store.
  • Assisting customers over the phone and in the store with questions and orders regarding architectural, commercial, and industrial paint products and coating materials.
  • Preparing orders by mixing/tinting paint to the customer’s specifications.
  • Accurately identifying and matching paint colors.
  • Accurately processing cash and credit card transactions while properly maintaining a cash drawer.
  • Occasionally making deliveries to customers safely and efficiently using a company vehicle.
  • Loading and unloading the delivery vehicle as needed.
  • Providing a high level of customer service, ensuring that customers are satisfied with the products and services.
  • Ensuring customer issues are quickly and efficiently resolved.
  • Miscellaneous tasks around the paint store such as stocking, cleaning, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
