About The Position

The Electrical Construction Project Management Trainee will learn branch operations through a series of work-related assignments beginning at an entry level position. Trainees will gain practical hands-on field experience while learning MetroPower’s mission, vision, culture, and values. Upon successful completion of all workplace assignments, the trainee will be permanently assigned to a MetroPower Office in Florida, Georgia or Alabama.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management. Related construction experience may substitute for college education.

  • A valid driver's license issued by the state of permanent assignment and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Learn branch operations through a series of work-related assignments beginning at an entry level position.
  • Gain practical hands-on field experience while learning MetroPower’s mission, vision, culture, and values.
  • Learn all aspects of branch management operations including but not limited to worksite safety, waste elimination, estimating, bidding, leadership, sales, material handling, order processing, and provide an outstanding level of customer service.
  • Behave consistently with MetroPower’s Mission and Vision and focus on safety, policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Maintain a consistent workload that involves moderate manual labor.
  • Carry/lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Bend, stoop, squat, sit and maneuver in confined spaces.
  • Wear respirators in environments that contain silica dust and other hazmat.
  • Maintain workloads that may include interstate and intrastate travel and daily timeframes that could exceed typical business hours.
