About The Position

This position is responsible for performing activities related to designing and teaching undergraduate college-level financial literacy and planning courses in the Management Department at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. The role requires addressing issues in a timely manner, demonstrating excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. The instructor will work independently, lead projects, and collaborate with team members, utilizing superior communication skills, both verbal and written. Additional duties include attending the West Point Lab for Economic Security and providing end-of-semester reports on cadet performance.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in business administration or a closely related field.
  • At least one (1) year of teaching experience.

Nice To Haves

  • AACSB accredited degree.
  • College-level teaching experience.
  • Five (5) or more years of work experience in the field of finance.
  • Experience with Process-Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL).
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Certification.
