About The Position

Government Commercial Agency has an exciting opportunity for a Management Information Analyst to join the Data and Insights team. This role will provide a pivotal service in data modelling by providing a clear and comprehensive service to commercial colleagues with reference to their data collection ambitions. Working in adherence to our master data model, this role ensures that our data collection from Suppliers provides insight to all our stakeholders, which is essential for making informed strategic decisions.

Requirements

  • Highly developed skills in data management and modelling, with a proven track record of using advanced techniques in Excel and an established ability to work with different data formats/coding languages such as JSON, Ruby, and SQL.
  • Can effectively translate and communicate across technical and non-technical stakeholders and facilitate discussions within a multidisciplinary team, with potentially difficult dynamics.
  • You can advocate for the team externally and manage differing perspectives, with the ability to produce effective documentation that supports verbal communication.
  • Proven track record in communicating with not only internal stakeholders, but also external stakeholders across a diverse private supplier base and commercial partners from other public sector bodies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and proven experience in collaborating and engaging with business data owners/stakeholders to continually drive data quality improvements against business objectives and outcomes.
  • Can lead work projects, prioritise workload and deliverables of the team to meet deadlines, for example, managing competing pricing model builds across different commercial teams to support commercial agreement procurements.

Responsibilities

  • Gathering business requirements and translating them into data capture and validation templates by working with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Translating data capture and validation rules to define data templates.
  • Liaising with Data Engineering, Reporting and Commercial colleagues to design effective data models for our commercial agreements management information requirements.
  • Providing expert advice on Management Information (MI) and the Report Management Information service where complex issues arise.
  • Providing ongoing briefing and support to the wider Data team and key governance forums to ensure new contractual arrangements align with best practice for their data requirements.
