About The Position

Serves as a member of the Management Development Program (MDP) and participates in ten weeks of Core Training and one year of On-the-Job (OJT) training. Core Training responsibilities include participation in classroom training, observations of departmental presentations, interaction with senior management, peer networking, and working in teams on two group project assignments. OJT responsibilities vary by department and are assigned by the department manager. The position may be responsible for additional projects as assigned by the department manager or Leadership Development Manager-MDP. The Enterprise Sales Enablement team partners across Commercial, Retail, Wealth, and Business Banking to improve how sellers identify opportunities, collaborate across the bank, and drive growth. The team designs and tests new processes, tools, and ways of working through pilots, and translates those learnings into scalable solutions for the broader organization.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and synthesize data to help tell the sales enablement story, translating results into clear, actionable insights
  • Partner in building business cases by sizing opportunities and connecting pilot outcomes to financial and strategic impact
  • Support the Strategy Lead in managing and executing sales enablement pilots, ensuring workstreams stay on track
  • Develop clear, executive-ready communications (slides, summaries, updates) that bring insights into life for leadership
  • Help create roadmaps that translate pilot learnings into clear priorities, sequencing, and next steps for scaling sales enablement
  • Work closely with business partners to gather feedback and reflect business line needs
  • Identify process gaps, reporting inconsistencies, and opportunities to improve the sales enablement experience at the bank
  • Step in where needed across workstreams, supporting ad hoc asks, problem-solving, and cross-team coordination
  • Participate in and complete a one-year long, non-rotational training program while creating and adding value to assigned department.
  • Receive job specific training, general training in banking, communication and leadership, and personalized coaching and feedback.
  • Complete tasks in a manner that are compliant with applicable laws and regulations and/or that serve to help the Company be in compliance with laws and regulations that apply to the business line the position supports.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite.
  • Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
  • Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
  • Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
