Capital OneMcLean, VA

About The Position

This role is a full-time associate position within a two-year rotational program, designed as a career accelerator to foster the next generation of leading talent. Full-time new hires for this role will start as a cohort in July 2027. All associates will rotate roles within their assigned location. Rotations occur at the one-year mark and allow for hands-on experience in two distinct roles. Associates who participate in this program may choose to remain in their final role placement upon completion of the program or explore other opportunities at Capital One. Participation in the program requires that you are located in the continental United States with in-person attendance at your assigned location, in accordance with Capital One’s hybrid working model. At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization, or offer any immigration related support for this position (e.g. H1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, TN, E-3, and O-1, or any other forms of work authorization that require immigration support from an employer). Capital One’s two-year Management Development Program (MDP) provides associates with the foundational knowledge needed to deliver complex, cross-functional initiatives that drive the company forward. If you’re passionate about problem solving and finding new solutions to drive business results, the MDP could be the program for you. The MDP features two distinct career paths: Strategic Delivery and Risk Advisory. Associates will gain exposure to professional areas within the company by rotating within one career pathway. Strategic Delivery focuses on driving enterprise impact through operational excellence, strategic execution, and cross-functional leadership. Associates could be placed in roles supporting associate experiences, chiefs of staff, program management, human resources, or other strategic areas across the organization. Risk Advisory focuses on strengthening and safeguarding the organization through risk management, governance, and analytical problem-solving. Associates could be placed in roles supporting internal audit, risk management, control testing, fraud, or other strategic areas across the organization. Across both career paths, associates will develop core competencies in foundational project management, effective influencing through storytelling, strategic problem solving, and data-driven decision making. Throughout your experience in the program, you’ll rely heavily on the leadership skills you’ve developed during your college experience. You’ll lead cross-functional efforts delivering value to the organization. Participants should be adaptable, eager to learn, and comfortable taking on new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
