About The Position

Arcadis is seeking a Management Consultant to join their Business Advisory practice. This role is ideal for individuals with an engineering background who are passionate about merging engineering knowledge, IT expertise, business analytics, and data engineering to solve critical challenges in the water, wastewater, and stormwater industries. The company is looking for creative and energetic candidates interested in developing sustainable, data-driven solutions for issues such as infrastructure renewal, capital improvement funding, water supply, workforce development, and emergency preparedness. In this role, you will collaborate with experienced consultants, support project outcomes, interact with clients, and develop your technical capabilities.

Requirements

Bachelors degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Computer or Data Science, Management Information Systems, or closely related discipline.
3+ years of professional experience.
Reliable and client-focused.
Capable of working independently under the supervision of project managers.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail, organizational ability, and a solid work ethic.

Nice To Haves

Master of Science degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Computer or Data Science, Management Information Systems, or closely related discipline.
Experience with tools for data analysis (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R).
Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., MS SQL Server, Oracle).
Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Exposure to programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or C#) and software development lifecycle tools (e.g., Jira, DevOps).
Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS).
Experience in the water industry (e.g., water, wastewater, or stormwater utilities) or a strong interest in applying engineering and analytics skills to this sector.

Responsibilities

Assess, develop, and support management and information technology consulting projects.
Perform data analytics, financial analysis, operational and organizational assessments, condition assessments, and vulnerability and mitigation evaluations.
Conduct planning and development for utilities, municipalities, and cities, primarily in the water, wastewater, and stormwater sectors.
Collect, organize, and analyze large datasets using various tools and software to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.
Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to understand and document requirements and deliver solutions through reports and visualizations.
Leverage analytical skills and problem-solving abilities for fieldwork and technical office-based analysis.
Assist in technical writing, including preparing technical reports, business development materials, presentations, and audiovisual content.
Work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues across the U.S. and internationally.
Manage multiple concurrent projects with strict deadlines, ensuring completion within established budgets and timelines.
