About The Position

Sabre Systems is seeking a Senior Management Consultant to support a U.S. Navy customer. This program focuses on readiness and sustainment, aiming to enhance operational availability and mission effectiveness while managing costs and optimizing resources. It utilizes collaborative, data-driven operating models that encompass end-to-end readiness ecosystems, including operations, maintenance, engineering, supply chain, manpower/training, and financial management. The program also incorporates AI-enabled approaches to improve the speed, scale, and consistency of analysis and decision support. Key activities involve producing readiness assessments and decision-support products, establishing and maintaining consistent readiness metrics and reporting, and integrating data from various authoritative and legacy sources to deliver actionable analytics and dashboards. Advanced analytics and AI/ML techniques (such as forecasting, anomaly detection, and natural language processing of maintenance narratives) are employed to identify readiness drivers and constraints, enhance predictive analytics, and inform trade-space decisions that balance near-term readiness with longer-term capability objectives, including Fleet legacy platform/systems sustainment and modernization transitions. This role may be offered on a part-time basis, subject to program requirements, and is located in San Diego, California. The Senior Management Consultant will be instrumental in developing the strategic direction, vision, and mission for the program, providing expert insight and advice on strategic direction and the application of current industry standard practices. The selected candidate will also be responsible for developing a high-level vision in collaboration with the program/project manager and senior client leadership to influence complex effort objectives. Additionally, the role involves conducting organizational studies and evaluations, designing systems and procedures, performing work simplification and measurement studies, and preparing operations and procedures manuals to help management operate more efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems management, mathematics, physics, operations research, statistics, or engineering from an accredited college or university, or equivalent specialized experience (Six years of additional related work experience may substitute)
  • Fifteen (15) years of related experience, with twelve (12) years of direct experience in Strategic Planning, including supporting common strategic planning models and their applications and working knowledge of strategic planning processes/disciplines in use across organizations in corporate/industry and military
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
  • U.S. Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience as a Navy/Marine Corps Flag/General Officer and/or Executive Level DoD government civilian (O7-O9, SES)
  • Additional corporate management experience working with the manning, training and equipment functions within Naval Aviation
  • Superior knowledge of readiness and sustainment metrics
