Requirements

  • Accounting or Finance degree
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Strong accounting acumen and knowledge of GAAP and Statutory accounting principles
  • Strong technical, organizational, communication (both oral and written) and analytical skills
  • Strong understanding and application of accounting rules and industry accounting practices
  • Candidate must possess project management skills in order prioritize and focus when various work streams are occurring concurrently
  • Detail-oriented, responsible and proactive

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications are a plus (CPA or equivalent)
  • Big 4 public accounting experience preferred
  • Experience with alternative investments and management company accounting preferred
  • Alteryx experience preferred
  • Well versed in Excel and have G/L and reporting experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist with accounting responsibilities within the quarterly close cycle
  • Assist in performing a detailed monthly review of all P&L activity by Business Unit
  • Assist with process to produce financial reporting deliverables for external parties
  • Assist with process to produce financial reporting deliverables for management
  • Assist with expense allocation close process including reviewing and analyzing all expenses booked, and understanding the related allocation methodologies of these expenses to the management companies
  • Assist with employee allocations process
  • Interact with different departments in the firm including Deal Team, Fund Accounting, IT, Operations, Compliance, Financial Planning & Strategy, Tax, and Accounts Payable
  • Help develop and maintain efficient internal controls and business processes
  • Continuously identify efficiencies and improve effectiveness by determining best practice
  • Manage and perform special projects and analysis for leadership
