This role will focus primarily on special projects and ad hoc requests to support the CFO Division leadership and operational decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in Excel.

  • Degree in finance, accounting, or another relevant field.
  • College/unit-level financial operations experience at the University of Florida.
  • Demonstrated skills in PowerBI and other data visualization tools are highly valuable.
  • Ability to work and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Responsibilities

  • Provides advanced analysis for CFO Division leadership to support strategic decision-making.
  • Responds to ad hoc analytical requests from CFO Division leadership and other stakeholders by researching questions, gathering and validating relevant information, performing analysis, and communicating findings.
  • Translates findings into actionable insights.
  • Provides timely decision support on emerging issues, operational needs, and strategic questions.
  • Leads and coordinates special projects and strategic initiatives on behalf of the CFO Division and Finance Intelligence & Controls team.
  • Provides leadership in defining project objectives, establishing priorities, coordinating stakeholders, and guiding initiatives from concept through implementation.
  • Facilitates collaboration across departments and campus partners, communicates project status and outcomes to leadership, and helps ensure initiatives are aligned with organizational priorities and achieve intended results.
  • Develops and sustains strong partnerships with data owners and business process leaders across the CFO Division and the broader campus community, with a particular focus on those whose data impacts financial operations.
  • Acts as a key point of contact to ensure that data is accurately represented, appropriately governed, and effectively leveraged for decision-making.
