About The Position

Management Analyst Position Overview Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for public service and organizational efficiency? We are seeking a Management Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will perform complex technical and professional administrative duties that directly support the heart of our County operations. As a Management Analyst, you won't just analyze data—you will help shape the future of our programs. You will be responsible for researching legislative impacts, administering departmental budgets, implementing new services, and providing critical recommendations to the County Commission and County Administrator.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • At least three (3) years of responsible administrative/analytical experience (e.g., budget administration, program analysis, or contract management).
  • A valid Missouri Driver License (travel throughout the County is required).
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required skills will be considered.
  • Deep understanding of public administration principles and municipal budgeting.
  • Proficiency in standard business software (Microsoft Office Suite) and data collection techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with a knack for translating complex data into clear reports.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and local laws relevant to municipal operations.

  • Master’s Degree in a relevant field.
  • Prior experience working within the public sector.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-level research and statistical analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of County programs and identify areas for improvement.
  • Draft, implement, and maintain County policies. Create technical reports, spreadsheets, and visual presentations (charts, graphs, flyers) to communicate findings.
  • Assist in preparing and monitoring departmental budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring fiscal accountability.
  • Serve as a project manager for special initiatives, including drafting RFPs, selecting consultants, and monitoring contract compliance.
  • Represent the County in a professional capacity during interactions with outside agencies, the media, and community groups.
  • Assist in maintaining the County website by updating content and ensuring information consistency.
