The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) Office of Strategic Initiatives seeks a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Management Consultant in the Management Consulting Group (MCG). Under the supervision of the MCG Director, the Management Consultant performs advanced (senior-level) professional administrative and policy analysis work. They serve as an analyst and project consultant for DFPS, contributing to a variety of organizational studies and operational improvement efforts across the agency. Work may include coordinating program reviews, supporting planning activities, evaluating systems and procedures, and assisting with process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Responsibilities may also involve analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, researching best practices and industry trends, and helping develop evaluation plans and organizational change strategies. The analyst collaborates with program and operational staff, contributes to project planning, and may occasionally represent DFPS in meetings or research activities. Operating under limited supervision with considerable latitude for initiative and independent judgment, this position plays a key role in supporting DFPS’s strategic and operational priorities.
