About The Position

DT Professionals is seeking a Management Analyst II to join our team in Port Hueneme, CA. This role supports the Performance Management/External & Honorary Awards.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Experience writing persuasively about technical achievements.
  • This can be gained, for example, through grant proposal writing or preparation of strategic white papers or documents.
  • Less ideal, but acceptable experience may include technical manuals or technical instructions.
  • Strong writing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and review all awards for formatting and following of process submission
  • Solicit Awards nominations from PHD Departments.
  • Follow the HQ initiated taskers for award nominations instructions.
  • Submitting completed awards to various online HQ and External Sponsor tool.
  • Write Civilian Service Awards (CSAM, CSCM, MCSA) as needed, including ghostwriting Division Letters to be signed and approved by the Commanding Officer.
  • Administer and solicit nominations for Civilian of the Quarter program from each department/code on a quarterly basis, creating slide show with nominee information and online ballot for leadership to review and vote.
  • Liaison and communicate Awards specifications with Department POCs and PSLs; instructing them on process as needed.
  • Attend and document quarterly board meetings and monthly selection process update meetings.
  • Create the External Awards nomination quotas for the Fiscal Year for each department/code (to be approved by the Awards Administrator.)
  • Track the flow of awards from initiation to final submission to HQ, including documenting and tracking all awards status’ on External Awards Tracker (Excel Spreadsheet).
  • Validate and ensure that all candidates meet nominee requirements (TWMS).
  • Ensure all submissions are timely, accurate, meeting all Sponsor driven deadlines, and in keeping with HQ requirements.
  • Communicate / liaise with the HQ Awards Administrator as needed.
  • Provide any additional assistance to HR (LE/RE) staff as needed.
  • The described tasking requires for the incumbent to perform the duties on-site, however, telework can be considered situationally on a case-by-case basis.
