About The Position

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the Management Accountant is responsible for the reporting, financial accuracy, and analysis of our internal accounts. This role will involve ad hoc analysis, calculations, and reviews. As a Management Accountant, you will prepare and analyze month and year-end closing for both the profit and loss statement and the balance sheet, prepare annual budgets across key functional areas, and prepare weekly and monthly sales forecasts. You will also analyze financial performance and forecast rolling 12 months. Key responsibilities include recording financial transactions for the site, preparing financial close journals completely and timely, reconciling and preparing monthly balance sheets, maintaining records, and supporting auditing efforts. You will also support the central team with field testing during the year-end audit procedure, track and monitor capital spend, and evaluate payback opportunities. Additionally, you will understand inventory and assist departments in controlling it versus KPIs. The role involves business partnering and ad hoc support, including commercial sales and cost analysis to help drive performance, advising company and/or department management on financial decisions, and assisting directors, the financial controller, and the CFO with queries. You will also work with teams to establish the viability of initiatives and projects. Other duties include assisting with profit improvement tracking, challenging departments on spend, following all company policies and procedures, communicating effectively and positively with all teams, colleagues, and managers, and taking reasonable care for health and safety. The role also involves cooperating with health & safety measures, reporting any work situations that may represent a serious or imminent danger, and helping to promote a positive working atmosphere. Any other duties that may be required from time to time are also part of the role.

Responsibilities
