About The Position

Four Winds Hospital, a leading provider of psychiatric inpatient services that treats children, adolescents, and adults, is seeking a Managed Care Coordinator. This role involves working with managed care and clinical teams to ensure that all patients admitted to both inpatient and outpatient programs have active insurance, care is authorized, and concurrent reviews are completed. The Managed Care Coordinator will also be responsible for setting up and completing peer reviews and MD to MD appeals, as well as processing and tracking all levels of appeals.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of insurance benefits and plans.

• College degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works with managed care and clinical teams to ensure that all patients admitted to both inpatient and outpatient programs have active insurance, care is authorized and concurrent reviews are completed.
• Ensure that peer reviews and MD to MD appeals are set up and completed.
• Process all levels of appeals and track progress.
