About The Position

The Managed Care Analytics Internship provides exposure to managed care contracts and opportunities to learn how to analyze and model commercial reimbursement. The intern will use Excel spreadsheets to develop payer models that support contract analysis and negotiations. They will participate in team meetings and contract modeling discussions related to active negotiations and ad-hoc financial analysis. The intern will also participate in creating the Managed Care budget and long-term forecast and may assist with developing programs, processes, or applications. This is a full-time, remote role anticipated to be a dayshift from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with flexibility available to accommodate a student's class schedule. The role is fully remote and restricted to residents of specific states: AL, AK, AR, AZ, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, LA, KS, KY, ME, MI, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WI, WV, WY. No relocation, sponsorship, or visa transfers are offered.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate.
  • No experience required.
  • Currently enrolled with junior status at a regional accredited college or university.
  • Interns are expected to be in the process of obtaining an undergraduate degree.
  • Grade point average of at least 2.5.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability in successfully completing tasks.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Effective multitasking and prioritization skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel.
  • Must demonstrate integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive attitude and enthusiasm.

Nice To Haves

  • Currently enrolled in Bachelors or Masters program within Business or Healthcare preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop payer models using Excel spreadsheets to support contract analysis and negotiations.
