About The Position

Solis Mammography is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join their team. This role involves providing services and support for intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies, and producing high-quality films for radiologist evaluation. The technologist will educate patients about preventative breast health, maintain a patient-first focus, and practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique. Responsibilities also include completing documentation, performing quality control functions, compiling statistical data, and promoting patient privacy and comfort.

Requirements

Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.
Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU’s every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.

Nice To Haves

Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepares for and assists the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies.
Produce high-quality films for the radiologist to evaluate.
Effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health.
Maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills.
Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees.
Consistently practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique.
Complete appropriate documentation.
Perform quality control functions related to mammography.
Assist in the compilation and maintenance of statistical data.
Promote privacy and comfort for the patient.
