About The Position

Requirements
- ARRT registered mammography technologists
- Diagnostic, biopsy, stereo and/or breast ultrasound experience
- BLS, CPR certification
- Graduate of a 24-month AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Computer literate
- Ability to read and interpret medical reports, extract pertinent information from them and present that information in a concise and appropriate manner
- Anatomic knowledge of breast tissue pattern and related structures as well as breast pathology and treatment of breast pathology
- Knowledge of radiographic technique and positioning
- Knowledge of ultrasound positioning and anatomy
- Proficient in diagnostic imaging and stereotactic biopsy and imaging
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service, both internal and external
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and a high level of confidentiality
Responsibilities
- Performs technical activities associated with screening and diagnostic mammography procedures to obtain high quality images of the breasts.
- Assists radiologists in diagnostic procedures, including but not limited to stereotactic imaging and biopsy, to evaluate and diagnose physiological changes in breast patterns.
- Serves as an integral part of providing an exceptional patient care experience.
