About The Position

Dignity Health Medical Foundation, established in 1993, is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation with care centers throughout California. It is an affiliate of Dignity Health, one of the largest health systems in the nation. Dignity Health Medical Foundation works with physicians and providers throughout California to provide comprehensive health care services. Dignity Health Medical Group – North State is a multi-specialty clinic with eleven locations in Redding and Red Bluff. As a Radiologic Mammography Technologist with Dignity Health Medical Foundation, now part of CommonSpirit Health, you will perform mammographic imaging procedures in outpatient clinics. You will assist in preparing patients for examinations, relay instructions from the radiologist, capture diagnostic images, and collect patient data, documenting patient concerns, messages, and care provided in the patient's medical record. You will also troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain radiology equipment. Occasional work at other locations within the Greater Sacramento Area may be required. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Satisfactory completion of a formal AMA school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent to an AMA Technologic program.
  • Completion of 40 hours of structured education in Mammography.
  • Must be licensed by the State of California in CRT & Mammography.
  • Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA BLS).
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and physiology for imaging.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of proper operation of and care of radiology diagnostic equipment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of radiation safety.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one (1) year experience as a Radiologic/Mammography Technologist.
  • Six (6) months experience in an outpatient environment.
  • Certification in Mammography through ARRT.
  • Medical terminology.
  • Familiarity with an electronic practice management system and PACS.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mammographic imaging procedures in outpatient clinics.
  • Assist in preparing patients for Radiologic/Mammography examinations.
  • Relay instructions from the radiologist to patients.
  • Capture usable diagnostic images from patients for accurate diagnosis.
  • Collect patient data, documenting patient concerns, patient messages, and care provided in the patient's medical record for the Radiologist’s review.
  • Troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures.
