About The Position

South Sound Radiology is looking for a Mammography Technologist to join their team. This position is typically Monday- Friday / day shift. The role involves performing Mammography to ACR standards, assisting patients for high-quality imaging, and aiding radiologists with specialized procedures. The technologist will also prepare sterile trays, screen orders for precautions, provide compassionate patient care, and manage patient flow to meet productivity and quality standards. Additionally, the role requires the ability to de-escalate conflict situations and may involve cross-covering in X-Ray and DEXA.

Requirements

• National certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
• Advanced certification in Mammography
• Washington State Radiologic Technologist license
• Current certification in Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS

Responsibilities

• Properly performs Mammography to ACR standards
• Ability to physically assist patients to obtain high quality imaging
• Assists radiologist with specialized procedures
• Prepares sterile trays as applicable
• Properly screen orders prior to exam for any precautions or contraindications
• Provides patient care services in a professional and compassionate manner
• Organizes and monitors patient flow to meet company productivity, quality, health, and safety standards
• Ability to de-escalate conflict situations with minimal supervisory assistance but able to recognize when a situation is beyond individual training/expertise and requires assistance
• This position may cross cover in X-Ray and DEXA
