About The Position

Our client, a top employer in Texas, is seeking a Mammography Technologist I to join their direct patient care team. Requirements

  • Experience working as a Mammography Technologist at a hospital or medical center is highly preferred.
  • ARRT-R - Radiologic Technologist - Radiographer (ARRT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologist
  • ARRT-M - Radiologic Technologist - Mammography (ARRT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist - State Licensure - Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation through the Texas Medical Board
  • Demonstrate skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job, determined through ongoing skills, competency assessments, and performance evaluations.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job, especially with regard to activities impacting patient or employee safety or security.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles.
  • Possess basic computer knowledge; operate multiple computer systems including Hospital/Radiology Information Systems and Office software to maintain patient and exam documents.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal and team player skills with all levels of the healthcare team and assure delivery of excellent customer service to all patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.
  • Adapt to multiple ongoing priorities with minimal supervision, including organizing workflow and actively participating in problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mammograms, biopsies, and bone density exams as applicable.
  • Conduct high-quality mammography examinations in accordance with the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and American College of Radiology (ACR) standards.
  • Assist with quality control activities as needed.
  • Be a member of the direct patient care team.
