About The Position

This is a full-time float position at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens, GA, offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus. The role involves performing bone density exams, screening and diagnostic mammograms, and stereotactic biopsies. The technologist will float between the St. Mary's Hospital Mammography Department and other outpatient facilities.

Requirements

• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Advanced registry in mammography required.
• Continuing education credits in Mammography required.
• Graduate of formal radiographic technology training in an AMA-approved school.

Nice To Haves

• Two years mammography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform ordered mammography examinations in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the radiologists.
• Maintain technical competency through continued education.
• Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshoot problems, call for service, and notify all pertinent team members.
• Follow quality assurance guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Enter patient's questionnaire, release form, and all other paperwork into Epic system.
