About The Position

Mammography Technologist (Radiology) – Portland, Oregon, United States. Travel assignment starting 09/28/2026 for 13 contract weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,701–$2,789 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: Days; 8-hour shifts (40 hours per week) across a 5x8 day schedule. Setting: travel assignment in a healthcare facility.

Requirements

Active radiologic technologist license/permit as required by state regulations.
Ability to perform mammography imaging and operate mammography equipment in a clinical setting.
Eligibility for travel assignments and ability to commit to the 13-week contract duration.
Strong patient care and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a busy imaging department.
Willingness to work daytime hours in a travel assignment and to adapt to on-site requirements.

Responsibilities

Perform specialized mammography examinations of the breast using digital mammography equipment, including tomosynthesis as applicable.
Properly position patients, ensure comfort and safety, and maintain high image quality for diagnostic use.
Operate imaging equipment and adjust exposure factors following department protocols and quality standards.
Document and process images; communicate findings and concerns with radiologists and care teams.
Adhere to radiation safety principles and ALARA; maintain patient shielding, infection control, and equipment cleanliness.
Assist in department procedures, participate in quality assurance activities, and support ongoing patient care in a fast-paced imaging setting.
