About The Position

The Mammography Technologist operates mammographic and other equipment in accordance with established company policies and protocols, producing high-quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care. The role involves using equipment settings and technical factors—including compression, exposure modes, filters, kVp, mAs, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, and photocell selection—to obtain quality images. The technologist monitors patients during exams, recognizes discomfort or medical problems, and takes appropriate action. They guide patients through exam procedures, answer questions and concerns, and respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients. The position is part of a dedicated, team-focused environment offering cross-training and advancement opportunities.

Requirements

• ARRT(R)(M) certification.
• State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology.
• BLS certification.
• Passion for patient care, sound judgment, and professionalism in all situations.
• Effective professional communication and interpersonal skills, with respect for patients, guests, and colleagues.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize work in a structured manner, and solve complex problems.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammographic and other equipment in accordance with established company policies and protocols.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Adjust equipment settings and technical factors, including compression, exposure modes, filters, kVp, mAs, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, and photocell selection, to produce high-quality images.
• Monitor patients’ well-being during exams, recognize discomfort or medical problems, and take appropriate action.
• Guide patients through exam procedures by explaining the steps and answering questions and concerns.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
