About The Position

The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique. This role is part of a fast-paced screening center that is ACR Mammography Accredited and was recognized as Center of the year in 2022 and Center of Excellence 2022-2024. Requirements

Texas Medical Board License - TMB
Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.
Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU’s every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.

Nice To Haves

Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health
Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions
Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills
Performs other work-related duties as assigned
