Requirements

Mammographic imaging studies
Mammography related quality control activities
Radiation safety and monitoring per facility and professional regulations and guidelines
Documentation thoroughly, accurately, and in a timely manner according to organizational and professional standards
Effective communication with patient, patient’s family and all others involved with the patient’s care
Monthly performance improvement information collection
Educational opportunities, both formal and informal, to achieve and maintain knowledge and skill
Collaborative approach to patient care
Positive inter- and intra-departmental collaboration and communication
Safe handoff communication of information pertinent to patient care
Represent department in community activities
Ensure department compliance with all environment of care regulations

Responsibilities

Performs mammographic imaging studies.
Performs mammography related quality control activities.
Ensures radiation safety and monitoring per facility and professional regulations and guidelines.
Completes all required documentation thoroughly, accurately, and in a timely manner according to organizational and professional standards.
Communicates effectively with the patient, patient’s family and all others involved with the patient’s care.
Collects monthly performance improvement information.
Actively seeks and participates in educational opportunities, both formal and informal, to achieve and maintain knowledge and skill to ensure world class, evidence-based health care for all patients.
Demonstrates a collaborative approach to patient care – is a team player. Seeks ways to support and assist other members of the team.
Promotes positive inter- and intra-departmental collaboration and communication.
Provides and ensures safe handoff communication of information pertinent to patient care.
Represents department in community activities.
Ensures department compliance with all environment of care regulations.
