Requirements

  • Mammographic imaging studies
  • Mammography related quality control activities
  • Radiation safety and monitoring per facility and professional regulations and guidelines
  • Documentation thoroughly, accurately, and in a timely manner according to organizational and professional standards
  • Effective communication with patient, patient’s family and all others involved with the patient’s care
  • Monthly performance improvement information collection
  • Educational opportunities, both formal and informal, to achieve and maintain knowledge and skill
  • Collaborative approach to patient care
  • Positive inter- and intra-departmental collaboration and communication
  • Safe handoff communication of information pertinent to patient care
  • Represent department in community activities
  • Ensure department compliance with all environment of care regulations

Responsibilities

  • Performs mammographic imaging studies.
  • Performs mammography related quality control activities.
  • Ensures radiation safety and monitoring per facility and professional regulations and guidelines.
  • Completes all required documentation thoroughly, accurately, and in a timely manner according to organizational and professional standards.
  • Communicates effectively with the patient, patient’s family and all others involved with the patient’s care.
  • Collects monthly performance improvement information.
  • Actively seeks and participates in educational opportunities, both formal and informal, to achieve and maintain knowledge and skill to ensure world class, evidence-based health care for all patients.
  • Demonstrates a collaborative approach to patient care – is a team player. Seeks ways to support and assist other members of the team.
  • Promotes positive inter- and intra-departmental collaboration and communication.
  • Provides and ensures safe handoff communication of information pertinent to patient care.
  • Represents department in community activities.
  • Ensures department compliance with all environment of care regulations.
