About The Position

As a Radiologic Mammography Technologist with Dignity Health Medical Foundation, now part of CommonSpirit Health, you will perform patient care services in our outpatient clinics. Success in this role means you: - Are responsible for the performance of mammographic imaging procedures - Maintain a clean organized and safe environment and perform patient care services that support the physician / providers practice under the supervision of the radiologists other licensed staff and Management - You will help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions - Apply a thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the order - Assist in preparing patients for Radiologic/Mammography examinations and relay instructions from the radiologist to your patient or authorized person - Collect patient data documenting patient concerns, patient messages, and care provided to the patient in the patient's medical record for the radiologist’s review

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Satisfactory completion of a formal AMA school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent
  • Completion of 40 hours of structured education in Mammography
  • CA Basic Life Support certification
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and physiology for imaging
  • Demonstrated knowledge of proper operation of and care of radiology diagnostic equipment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of radiation safety
  • Medical terminology
  • Familiarity with an electronic practice management system and PACS

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year experience as a Radiologic/Mammography Technologist
  • Six (6) months experience in an outpatient environment
  • Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT

Responsibilities
