About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in a professional breast imaging environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on breast imaging experience and be skilled in patient care, breast positioning, diagnostic imaging, and assisting with advanced breast procedures. This role supports a comprehensive breast imaging program and assists with procedures including breast ultrasound, stereotactic biopsy, needle localization, and other image-guided breast procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology required
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on Mammography Technologist experience required
  • Strong breast imaging experience required
  • Prior experience with screening and diagnostic mammography required
  • ARRT Certification required
  • Active Radiologic Technologist License required
  • Mammography-specific certification required
  • Breast imaging competencies required
  • Must obtain mammography certification within the first three months of employment

Responsibilities

  • Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations in accordance with ACR and MQSA standards
  • Operate mammography equipment and select appropriate technical factors based on patient needs
  • Perform breast positioning and compression techniques accurately
  • Conduct tomosynthesis (3D mammography) imaging procedures
  • Prepare and position patients for breast imaging procedures
  • Assist with Breast ultrasound procedures
  • Assist with Stereotactic breast biopsies
  • Assist with Needle localization procedures
  • Assist with Breast MRI coordination
  • Assist with Additional radiologic-guided breast procedures
  • Prepare imaging rooms, equipment, and supplies for procedures
  • Support physicians during breast intervention procedures
  • Perform and document quality control procedures in compliance with ACR, MQSA, FDA, and state regulations
  • Assist with phantom imaging, repeat analysis, processor quality control, and equipment checks
  • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
  • Ensure proper labeling and handling of imaging studies
  • Educate patients regarding imaging procedures and post-procedure instructions
  • Provide compassionate and professional patient care
  • Communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds and age groups
  • Ensure patient comfort, safety, and confidentiality throughout procedures
