Mammography Technologist (Breast Center)
About The Position
Missouri Baptist Medical Center is seeking a Mammography Technologist for its Breast Center. The role performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality, including mammography, on adult and/or pediatric patients for diagnosis or treatment and quality control. The technologist prepares patients and equipment, and performs studies independently, in on-call situations, for portable exams, and at other sites as required by the work area. The Breast HealthCare Center provides screening and diagnostic services including digital mammography, breast ultrasound, ultrasound-guided core biopsy, breast MRI, stereotactic breast biopsy, and bone density scans. The center has four digital mammography rooms, two ultrasound rooms, a stereotactic biopsy room, a mobile mammography program, and an outreach program. The schedule is five 8-hour shifts or four 9-hour shifts, Monday through Friday. Department hours are 6:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with rotating shifts. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available to eligible applicants.
Requirements
- Associate degree or trade school equivalent.
- No experience required.
- No supervisor experience required.
- Required licensure or certification listed: RTR, CT, MR, M, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, or RCES.
- IEMA certification for Illinois positions, excluding MRI.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with screening, diagnostic procedures, biopsies, and Magseed is preferred.
- Less than two years of experience is listed under preferred requirements.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification.
- Intravenous Therapy certification.
