About The Position

Dignity Health Medical Foundation, established in 1993, is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation with care centers throughout California. Dignity Health Medical Foundation works with physicians and providers throughout California to provide comprehensive health care services. Dignity Health Medical Group – North State, a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation, is a multi-specialty clinic with eleven locations in Redding and Red Bluff. Along with affiliated Dignity Health hospitals, they offer an integrated care delivery system providing high-quality, compassionate care in various specialties. As a Radiologic Mammography Technologist with Dignity Health Medical Foundation, now part of CommonSpirit Health, you will perform mammographic imaging procedures in outpatient clinics. You will assist in preparing patients for examinations, relay instructions from the radiologist, capture diagnostic images, and document patient data in the medical record. You will also troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain radiology equipment. Occasional work at other locations within the Greater Sacramento Area may be required. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Satisfactory completion of a formal AMA school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent to an AMA Technologic program.
  • Completion of 40 hours of structured education in Mammography.
  • Must be licensed by the State of California in CRT & Mammography.
  • Candidates in the process of obtaining CA licensure may be considered, however CA license must be verified prior to start date.
  • Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA BLS).
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and physiology for imaging.
  • Proper operation of and care of radiology diagnostic equipment.
  • Radiation safety is required.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one (1) year experience as a Radiologic/Mammography Technologist.
  • Six (6) months experience in an outpatient environment.
  • Certification in Mammography through ARRT.
  • Medical terminology and familiarity with an electronic practice management system and PACS.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mammographic imaging procedures in outpatient clinics.
  • Assist in preparing patients for Radiologic/Mammography examinations.
  • Relay instructions from the radiologist.
  • Capture usable diagnostic images from patients for accurate diagnosis.
  • Collect patient data, documenting patient concerns, messages, and care provided in the patient's medical record.
  • Troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures.
  • Occasionally work at other locations within the Greater Sacramento Area as needed.
