Provides diagnostic imaging services according to accepted standards and protocols and assures patient safety during procedures. Demonstrates competency in performing all procedures and use of the equipment for Mammography, as appropriate and assigned. Keeps dose as low as possible to achieve diagnostic exam. Uses computer to access reports, medical history, prior imaging, etc. Follows protocols for releasing of images and obtaining prior imaging studies. Assists with administrative responsibilities of the department to include scheduling appointments, answering the phone, etc. Performs all quality controls procedures weekly in the absence of the QC technologist. Maintains licensing and continuing education credits. Able to teach/aid students and new staff.
