About The Position

South Sound Radiology is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join their team in Olympia, Washington. This role involves performing Mammography according to ACR standards, assisting patients with imaging, and supporting radiologists with specialized procedures. The technologist will also be responsible for preparing sterile trays, screening orders, providing compassionate patient care, and managing patient flow to meet productivity and quality standards. Additionally, the role requires the ability to de-escalate conflict and may involve cross-covering in X-Ray and DEXA. South Sound Radiology is an Imaging Center of Radia, a large and progressive radiology group serving numerous hospital and clinic partners.

Requirements

National certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
Advanced certification in Mammography
Washington State Radiologic Technologist license
Current certification in Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS

Properly performs Mammography to ACR standards
Ability to physically assist patients to obtain high quality imaging
Assists radiologist with specialized procedures
Prepares sterile trays as applicable
Properly screen orders prior to exam for any precautions or contraindications
Provides patient care services in a professional and compassionate manner
Organizes and monitors patient flow to meet company productivity, quality, health, and safety standards
Ability to de-escalate conflict situations with minimal supervisory assistance but able to recognize when a situation is beyond individual training/expertise and requires assistance
This position may cross cover in X-Ray and DEXA
