About The Position

This is a screening-only Mammography Tech position within Diagnostic Radiology. The role involves performing a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high-volume outpatient setting. The technologist is responsible for producing high-quality radiographic images while interacting with patients in a caring and comforting manner. Additionally, the position is jointly responsible for performing required quality control activities as mandated by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and the FDA. Depending on the location, general radiography skills may be utilized to perform diagnostic radiology exams. Candidates must successfully complete a mandatory 48-hour mammography training course prior to employment.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a formal radiologic technology training program, which meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Washington Radiologic Technologist upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire.
  • National Registered Technologist - Mammography within 1 year of hire.
  • Prior general radiography experience may be required (dependent on location).

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) years full-time mammography experience.
