About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality breast imaging procedures in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will ensure patient comfort and safety while producing accurate diagnostic images and maintaining compliance with quality standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Mammography Technologist experience required
- Strong technical skills in breast imaging and patient care
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Excellent communication and attention to detail
- New York State License/Registration required (or eligibility)
- Current CPR Certification required
Nice To Haves
- ARRT Certification in Mammography (preferred or must obtain within 1 year)
Responsibilities
- Perform mammography and stereotactic breast procedures as ordered by a radiologist
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures
- Explain procedures clearly and ensure patient comfort
- Operate imaging equipment and select appropriate technical factors
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with clinical standards
- Maintain compliance with ACR Mammography QA/QC guidelines and MQSA requirements
- Ensure proper documentation and data entry into radiology information systems
- Maintain equipment quality control and follow safety protocols
- Participate in continuing education and training requirements
